Choosing Your Pet Project Player

The NHL roster looks different this year. People are debating who their favorite player should be. I picked a few players for you to consider. The player you are dying to see have a breakout season and make a grand entrance is the one you should choose. If you have room for more players, good on you, but you still have to have your favorite.

Filip Zadina is going to score. He will probably do it before this article was posted. He is similar to Henrik Zetterberg. If he grows out his beard he starts looking more like Hank.

Joe Veleno needs to have a big year to avoid falling back into the Grand Rapids pipeline. Velenos fans want to cheer him on. The Cult of Velene welcomes newcomers.

Is he good or bad? Is he blocking a roster spot from someone else?

Michael Rasmussen was drafted by the Moose Caboose at No. 9 in 2017. He's been improving a lot since then. He looks like he's possessed by a demon.

Elmer Söderblom was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round. He is off to a good start and scores goals.

Oskar Sundqvist is a good candidate for your pet project player. He's already got the nickname Sunny and has a unique array of chompers.

The Blackhawks have dumped a seventh-rounder and Calder finalist. The team got him for nothing. He needs to have one good season with them to enjoy superiority and the opportunity to call the Blackhawks a trash organization.

Alex Nedelkjovic is a good choice for pet project goalie. He wears beanies, has facial hair, is nerd and a family man. He and his wife are dog parents and have a baby due in the spring.

Ville Husso is the new goalie. He is an ex-Blues player. It's still early in the season and it's not known how much of a workload he will have.

Sebastian Cossa is a promising goalie prospect. He is currently playing for Toledo and Grand Rapids. Victor Brattström is injured.  There are many opinions about drafting goalies in the first round.

Simon Edvinsson is a big Swedish defender. He played some games in the preseason for Grand Rapids. Edvinnsson will probably play some matches for the Red Wings this season.

Givani Smith is a bottom-six forward who travels to Detroit every year. He's a tough guy who loses every fight but he still throws himself in there anyway.

Jonatan Berggren is a 22-year-old, 5'11", and an old man. He's got that "any minute now" energy. If he could break out, he might be ready to play in Detroit next year. But he's not ready yet.

Brian Lashoff is the new King of Grand Rapids.
