Cleveland Browns sets sportsbook plan with Bally's Interactive

The Cleveland Browns are taking a different route when it comes to sports gambling.

The team announced over the weekend they and their betting partner Bally’s Interactive will work with Cleveland restauranteur Bobby George’s Ethos Hospitality Group to launch the Bally Bet Sportsbook Lounge in the space currently occupied by George’s Harry Buffalo restaurant on East 4th Street.

The NFL began allowing sportsbooks to operate within its stadiums earlier this year. It is currently unavailable at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

They are calling the initiative a “reimagined restaurant and unique retail sportsbook.”

There will be competition in the neighborhood. Currently, Caesar’s Sportsbook, a 10,000 square-foot facility, operates around the corner at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. It features a casual, elevated bar food menu and full-service bar along with a host of televisions. Additionally, Jack Casino operates a sportsbook within walking distance.

With so much competition in the area, the allure of the NFL could be put to the test.
