When it comes to college football, there are few who deserve the "expert" tag quite like Barrett Sallee. The CBS Sports writer and analyst hosts shows on SiriusXM College, writes for CBSSports.com and appears regularly on CBS Sports HQ as well as countless radio shows across the nation as a guest. He's nailed four of his last six best bets heading into the Week 5 college football schedule.
Now, he's turned his attention to the Week 5 college football odds (see the latest college football lines for each game this week on our college football odds page) and is revealing his three top plays for Saturday. A parlay of these three picks would return around 6-1!
We can tell you Sallee is backing No. 7 Washington (-18) to cover at Arizona in a 10 p.m. ET matchup on Saturday.
"We are heading into the final weekend of September, and the Huskies are still being disrespected by the entire country," Sallee said. "It feels like they start every game with at least 20 points thanks to Heisman Trophy candidate Michael Penix Jr. taking the snaps and a stout wide receiving corps led by Rome Odunze. The Wildcats rank 64th in the nation in pass defense (219.3 yards per game), and Penix is going to light them up in an attempt to make another statement to the college football world. Hopefully people are watching."
