Colorado Rockies, Bet365 Announce 3-Year Partnership

Blake Street has a new tenant, and it looks like they will be welcomed with open arms.

Just as the Colorado Rockies get ready for their home opener at Coors Field on April 6, the team announced its latest partnership with sportsbook bet365.

The three-year deal, which names bet365 as an official betting partner of the Rockies, gives the sports-wagering brand significant signage and advertising throughout the field and on broadcasts with hopes to win over some of the Centennial State’s bettors from the first home-game pitch of the season.

Since Colorado sports betting officially launched in May 2020, big-name sportsbooks like DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbooks, FanDuel Sportsbook, and BetMGM Sportsbook have crowded the marketplace.

With Bet365 Colorado launching in September 2022, it got a late start to the party but believes the new partnership will help bolster its wagering market share in the state even more.

What Rockies and Bet365 partnership means for Coors Field

All partnerships tend to offer numerous perks to each of the sport betting platforms, including marketing and promotional campaigns, in-game sponsorships, and high-visibility signage and branding opportunities.

“All of us at the Rockies are excited to partner up with an outstanding player within the sports betting industry,” said Rockies Vice President of Corporate Sponsorships Walker Monfort. “As bet365 continues to evolve within our great state, we are thrilled to be a part of their growth story.”

Specific promotional opportunities for bet365 this season include brand signage front and center on the outfield wall, as well as rotational signage behind home plate and static signage placement on the first baseline. The 1B signage will also be visible for TV viewers at home, as well as on the Rockies TV Broadcast during pre-game and in-game TV spots, and in-game features in each broadcast.

“We’re over the moon to have found an MLB home in Colorado with the Rockies,” a bet365 spokesperson said. “To be a part of some of the memorable moments guaranteed to take place at a true hitter’s park, is the reason we are elated to be a part of this fantastic franchise. Baseball, Denver, and bet365 will all combine here for one true walk-off home run.”

Bet365 joins crowded market with popular sports betting partner

The Rockies and Bet365 partnership announcement comes just one day after a similar partnership announcement for another MLB team — the Atlanta Braves — which extended its exclusive deal with Atlanta-based PrizePicks, a deal that began in 2020 and will continue for the foreseeable future.

However, the latest partnership with Bet365 is hardly the Rockies’ sole one.

It’s currently unclear how the four sports betting partnerships differ in terms of opportunity and placement at this time, but they are likely to be equal or close to equal in terms of visibility and multi-channel utilization.

2023 Colorado Rockies

Despite the team starting off a balmy 2-4, Colorado did open the season with two wins against a strong San Diego Padres squad before losing its last four games in a row.

One of those losses was to the Dodgers in the form of a 13-4 drubbing on MLB opening weekend, but the Rockies are ready to turn it around when they welcome the Washington Nationals to Coors Field for a 2:10 p.m. MDT day game on April 6.
