Commanders Betting Odds: What's the best Washington-related longshot play?

The 2022 NFL season is getting closer. Pete Hailey and Ethan Cadeaux take a look at betting props surrounding the Washington Commanders.

Pete's Take: Chase Young, Comeback Player of the Year (+1400). Pete's also prefers Jahan Dotson to win Offensive Rookie of Year at +2500. Derrick Henry is the favorite at -375. Jameis Winston and Christian McCaffrey are second and third.

Young has a torn ACL. He's coming back from that. If he recovers quickly and matures as a defensive end, he can surpass double-digit sacks and create memorable highlights in 2022. The first part of that equation is a widely-respected benchmark for him.

Ethan's takes Jahan Dotson as the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Dotton was drafted by Washington Commanders 16th overall in April's draft. He will play a big role in Washington's offense. The 2022 NFL Draft was weak at quarterback, with only Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett selected in the first round. Since 2010, half of NFL's Offensive rookie of Year winners were quarterbacks. This year's rookie class is weaker at QB, so Doton and other skill players can make a run at OROY. The four first-round wideouts taken in front of him are Drake London, Atlanta, Garrett Wilson, NY Jets, Chris Olave and Jameson Williams.
