Conor Gallagher Next Club Odds: Everton Keen On Chelsea 'Flop'

Conor Gallagher could be on his way out from Chelsea, with the Blues reportedly planning a huge clear out in the summer.

After impressing during his loan spell at Crystal Palace last season, Gallagher was expected to play a bigger role at his boyhood club this season. However, after making only ten starts in the league so far, his future at the Blues has been surrounded by uncertainty.

Chelsea have spent over £500m in the last two transfer windows, breaking the Premier League’s transfer record with the £103m signing of Enzo Fernandez. The list of additions is endless, which suggests that the academy graduate is not a big part of Graham Potter’s plans.

One club that are keen on taking advantage of Chelsea’s summer clear out is Sean Dyche’s Everton, with the Toffee’s reportedly preparing a bid for the Blues midfielder. The blue side of Merseyside sit 15th in the league, only two points from the relegation zone.

However, their attempt to sign the 23-year-old in January fell through, with Gallagher preferring to stay and earn his place in the Chelsea squad.

Should Dyche guide his side to Premier League safety, then they will be hoping for huge investment in the summer. The club have been linked with Gallagher and Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, as his time in north London looks to be coming to an end.

The Toffee’s are not the only side interested in the England international, with Newcastle reportedly being huge admirers. Eddie Howe’s side are in contention for European football and the addition of Gallagher could be huge for their hopes next season.
