Coolangatta too strong in Moir Stakes
Coolangatta won the $1m Group 1 Moir Stakes at The Valley. She was ridden by Jamie Kah with only 50kg on her back. Bella Nipotina finished second, while Zoustyle came third and Generation fourth. The result denied trainer Ciaron Maher and David Eustace a stable Group1 trifecta. It was Kah's first win since his last Group One.
Coachatta, a 3-year-old filly, won the G1 Moir Stakes.
Maher hails Jamie Kah's performance on Coolangatta. Coolanatta won the Magic Millions Classic. It is Kah’s seventh top-flight success. He could add an eighth on Sunday aboard favourite Zaaki in the $1m Underwood Stakes.
