Cross-Sport Parlay: Bet Underdogs in Two Ways

There will be no shortage of underdogs coming up big this weekend. In the UFC, the Austin card should feature a ton of upsets while in the NFL, tight matchups should lean toward the home dogs. There are two ways to go betting these in picks and parlays. We bet two underdogs in the UFC and add two more NFL teams on teasers.

Best Underdogs To Parlay in NFL and UFC

NFL: Tease the Jets and Titans

Call us crazy because we’re making the Jets our NFL pick. Yes, the abysmal Jets will beat the Falcons.

This is not a tout on the Jets but a fade on the Falcons. Atlanta is 2-3 as a road favorite under Arthur Smith and this team is averaging a measly 15 points and 4.63 yards per play on the road. The Jets may have no offense but it has the better defense.

Ignore the Jets’ home stats as a lot of the yards they’ve conceded came against the Chiefs and Dolphins. This is still the same defense that shut down the Eagles and Bills. And the Falcons’ clunky offense is due to help the Jets pump its defensive stats. How will they score? It doesn’t matter much. New York’s defense will keep this game close and make the Falcons sweat.

While we’re going out on a limb to bet the Jets, the Titans are a more confident underdog pick. This team is 4-1 at home and it would be unbeaten if we exclude the London game against Baltimore. Still, Tennessee gave Lamar Jackson and the AFC-leading Ravens some problems in that game.

The Colts have won three straight but that’s come against Tampa Bay, New England, and Carolina. The Titans, at home, are better than these teams. Will Levis is just as good if not better than Gardner Minshew at quarterback. Minshew turns the ball over a lot and the Titans are good at protecting the ball. This one will come down to a field goal so teasing Tennessee is a solid play.

UFC Fight Night: Back the King, Bet the Champ

UFC Fight Night in Austin is an underdog bettors’ dream. More than half of the 13 fights features a dog worth betting on online. So we hitch our wagons to two: Deiveson Figueiredo and the “King” Bobby Green.

The former flyweight champion should benefit from moving up a weight class. He’s the better-rounded and much more durable than Rob Font. Figueiredo can either mix it up and beat Font by a decision or hurt him given Font’s frail chin. The UFC lines should favor Figueiredo here so at an underdog price, he is a must-bet.

As for “King” Green, he could score another big upset against Jalin Turner. His opponent is a “weight bully” who cuts a lot to get to 155 pounds. And it’s a short-notice fight so he is spending a lot of time managing his weight versus training. Green is also much more experienced and has fought the best of the division.

On top of that, Green is also more versed in grappling. We saw Dan Hooker, a striker, nearly submit Turner. The sportsbook is off here and this line should not be this wide. As such, bet Green straight and add him to this dog parlay.
