Cross-Sport Parlay: Playoffs With a Punch

The NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs are into their respective conference finals while boxing has a slew of big championship fights on Saturday. There will be grand emotions this weekend and it could come with a mix of cash if these big games are successfully parlayed.

Taking the five best bets from Friday and Saturday, you can quadruple your stake beginning with this NBA pick.

Weekend Best Bets to Parlay

1. Heat (+320) vs Celtics (-400)

  • Total: Over 215 (-110), Under 215 (-110)
  • Day/Time: Friday, May 19, 8:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream: TNT

The Boston Celtics blew a nine-point halftime lead and dropped Game 1 to the Miami Heat. But the online sports betting odds doubled down on Boston as the team is now a larger favorite to even the series. Boston is the better team and may have underestimated Miami. It won’t make that same mistake for Game 2, especially when the team is 11-4 in its last 15 games at TD Garden. Miami is not scoring 46 points in a quarter again so expect NBA news to have Boston as the winner this Friday.

2. Stars (+105) vs Golden Knights (-125)

  • Total: Over 5½ (-110), Under 5½ (-110)
  • Day/Time: Friday, May 19, 8:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream: ESPN

The NHL lines favor Vegas slightly in this Western Conference finals rematch from 2020. Goals are also expected to come few and far between as the previous series had fewer than 5½ goals in all five games. But Vegas is much improved offensively with the addition of Jack Eichel. The Conn Smythe Trophy contender is a big reason why Vegas is averaging 3.73 goals these playoffs. Bet online on the team to score at least three to open the series.

3. Taylor (-200) vs Cameron (+165)

  • Total: Over 8½ (-900), Under 8½ (+550)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Undisputed Super Lightweight, 140 lbs. (10 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, May 20, 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream: DAZN

The pound-for-pound top women’s boxer, Katie Taylor is finally set to debut in her homeland. That’s why the online gambling odds favor her to defeat Chantelle Cameron and become a simultaneous two-division undisputed champion. While we like Cameron to get upset, the surefire bet to parlay here is the over on the total. It’s heavily juiced at this point but still makes an easy parlay piece.

4. Nakatani (-450) vs Moloney (+325)

  • Total: Over 10½ (-120), Under 10½ (-110)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): WBO World Super Flyweight Title, 115 lbs. (12 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, May 20, 10:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Pay Per View

In a day where several high-profile championship bouts take place, Junto Nakatani and Andrew Moloney could steal the show. Despite the boxing odds, expect a back-and-forth brawl here between two offensively oriented boxers. Nakatani is a bit more versatile and powerful than Moloney. But the Australian is tough and will not be easy to put away. Hence, the over at just -120 is a steal and is a must-add to the parlay.

5. Haney (-300) vs Lomachenko (+225)

  • Total: Over 10½ (-550), Under 10½ (+375)
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Undisputed Lightweight, 135 lbs. (12 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, May 20, 11:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Pay Per View

Closing out this parlay on Saturday is the hotly anticipated bout between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko. The odds favor Haney for a variety of reasons, but namely, because he’s larger, longer, and more in his physical prime. But “Loma” is not to be trifled with and can give him fits. Like the two other boxing bouts here, this one should go past its total.

Parlay: Celtics ML, Golden Knights Over, Taylor-Cameron Over, Nakatani-Moloney Over, Haney-Lomachenko Over (+404)
