Cubs vs. Blue Jays prediction and odds for Sunday, Aug. 13 (Bet the UNDER)

The Chicago Cubs have fought all their way to a wild card spot in the National League, but now they'll need to continue their winning ways if they want to hold on to that postseason berth.

They have a chance to sweep the Toronto Blue jays in their interleague series this weekend.

Let's take a look at the odds for this afternoon's series finale and then I'll give you my best bet.

Jameson Taillon (5.17 ERA) of the CUbs will take on Hyun Jin Ryu (4.00 ERA) of the Blue Jays and I wouldn't be shocked to see a bit of a pitchers duel, despite what their statistics say.

Taillon has found a grove lately and has pitched some of his best baseball of the season. over his last four starts he has a 2.28 ERA across 23.2 innings pitched. Now, he gets to face a Blue Jays team that's just 21st in OPS over the last 30 days.

Meanwhile Hyun Jin Ryu gets the start for the Jays, and while he's only had two starts since returning to the rotation, I expect a strong start from him today.

The Cubs have struggled at times against lefties over the past month. In the last 30 days, they rank just 16th in OPS against lefties with a mark of .735. That could lead to some offensive troubles against Ryu, who is a lefty.

With the total set at a relatively high mark of 9.0, I'm willing to take the UNDER at even money.
