The Dallas Cowboys were among the best teams from an NFL betting perspective last season, covering the spread regularly. This season, they will look to be just as effective against the number, and bettors have plenty of chances to get some extra value when wagering on their games. Below, we have put together a set of elite sportsbook promos that bettors can use to maximize their value when wagering on America’s Team.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated in the Wild Card round by the San Francisco 49ers. The clock ran out as the Cowboys were trying to put together a game-winning drive, leading to ridicule for Dak Prescott and the rest of the team. This season, the Cowboys will look to avenge that loss and make another run to the postseason.

Things will look a little different for the Cowboys this season, as Amari Cooper was sent to Cleveland in the offseason. But the core of this Cowboys team is still largely in place, and they will be expected to outperform the rest of the NFC East.

Key Additions: James Washington, Anthony Barr, Dante Fowler

Key Departures: Amari Cooper, Blake Jarwin, La’el Collins, Randy Gregory, Keanu Neal, Greg Zuerlein

The Cowboys lost a few key names from last season’s team, especially Amari Cooper and La’el Collins on offense. But the Cowboys should be fine offensively even with those losses, as their offensive line is still one of the best in football. With Cooper gone, Michael Gallup will likely see a larger role in the Dallas offense, which is not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.

Dallas Cowboys Offensive Stats

No team averaged more points per game last season than the Dallas Cowboys, as they ranked in the top-five in yards per play and yards per pass attempt. They are likely to experience more of the same this season, even with Cooper no longer in the equation. Expect the Cowboys to continue to use their offense to distance themselves from the competition throughout the season, as long as Prescott stays healthy at quarterback.

Dallas Cowboys Defensive Stats

Defensively, the Cowboys were great at forcing turnovers to make up for their shortcomings elsewhere. Dallas was mediocre at defending on a per play yardage basis, but the fact that they led the league in takeaways masked those problems. If the Cowboys cannot force turnovers as regularly this season, they could see their overall defensive performance take a huge step back given that they were mediocre against the run.

Dallas’ number one positive is its offense, and the fact that they are better than most teams in the NFL in terms of their ability to move the football. Zeke Elliott is not at his best any longer, but the depth of the Cowboys offense will more than make up for that issue. Barring injuries, the Cowboys will once again be able to move the ball easily in 2022.

But the Cowboys are porous defensively, which is a problem that their offense may not be able to overcome. Losing in the postseason to a Niners team that was not set at the quarterback position at the time is a huge red flag going into this year. And the acquisition of Anthony Barr is likely not enough to fix things on defense for the Cowboys.

While Dallas does have its share of flaws heading into this season, they are still likely to be the class of the NFC East. Expect the Cowboys to take care of business against the Giants and Commanders. From there, they will need just six games to finish at 10, and they should exceed that mark without too much trouble. Grab the over on the Cowboys season win total, as they should be a division champion again this season.
