Dallas Mavericks vs Philadelphia 76ers Odds

The Philadelphia 76ers (49-26 SU, 44-31 ATS) welcome the Dallas Mavericks (37-39, 29-44-3) to Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday as both teams look to rebound from skids. Dallas is 3-7 in its last 10 games while Philly has lost three straight and four of its last five.

The Sixers opened as the 5.5-point home favorite, although the Mavs have won 13 of the last 20 meetings between the two teams. The UNDER looks like the play tonight as it’s gone 5-1 in the last six meetings, 5-1 in Dallas’ last six games and 4-1 in Philadelphia’s last five.

Latest Betting Notes: Mavericks

The Mavericks snapped a four-game losing streak on Monday with an emphatic 127-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Luka Doncic led the team with 25 points but got plenty of help as Jaden Hardy scored 20 off the bench and four others finished in double digits.

Doncic has been playing some great basketball since returning to the lineup on March 22, averaging 32.3 points per game in his last four appearances. Unfortunately, Dallas still has lost three of those contests as the offense outside of Doncic has fallen flat on many nights of late.

Latest Betting Notes: 76ers

The 76ers dropped their third straight game on Monday, losing 116-111 to the Denver Nuggets. Tyrese Maxey led Philly with 29 points as both Joel Embiid and James Harden missed the game due to injury.

Embiid (calf) is listed as questionable for the fourth straight contest, though he did play in the two games prior to Monday, scoring 46 and 28 points, respectively, in those outings. Harden (Achilles) hasn’t played since March 20 and is also a question mark.

Maxey has stepped up admirably through Philadelphia’s injury woes, scoring 20-plus in six straight and seven of his last eight outings.

The Keys to Victory: Mavericks

The Mavericks had a solid all-around effort on Monday as the team finished with 127 points even though Doncic scored only 25. That’s been the complete opposite of what we’ve seen from Dallas, as Doncic is usually dominating while the Mavs are somehow losing.

If the Mavericks want to stay in the win column, they’ll need guys like Kyrie Irving and Jaden Hardy to keep producing. Irving started March off red-hot but has averaged just 17.3 points over his last three games. Hardy has posted six performances of  20-plus points this month but has been otherwise pretty inconsistent. Both of them will need to show up for Dallas to get the win.

The Keys to Victory: 76ers

Obviously Philadelphia’s game plan is going to be heavily impacted by the health of Embiid and Harden, who generally carry the 76ers offense when they’re in the lineup. The duo is combining for 55 points per game in March – nearly half of the team’s offense – so their presence will be crucial to giving the Sixers an edge.

Maxey will need to continue to be a difference-maker for Philly, even if Embiid and Harden return. The point guard has seen a heavy increase in his usage this month at nearly 36 minutes per game, but he’ll need to find a way to stay productive whether he’s starting or coming off the bench.
