Darren Flindell: The voice of Sydney racing

Darren Flindell has been a race broadcaster in Sydney for the last 20 years. He started out as a player in the backyard, before studying at the Max Rowley Radio Academy. After a job in Hong Kong, he came back to Australia and took over the Sydney racing broadcasts. Flinder called a lot of Winx's races. He was lucky enough to call the first of Chautauqua's wins. The pressure of calling the Chautsa era was tough. It was only a few weeks before Chatsaua won the G1 T J Smith Stakes.
