Darts star who caused World Championship upset took bus to Ally Pally before shock win
Grant Sampson knocked out Ireland's rising star Keane Barry 3-1 in the first round of the World Darts Championship. Sampon's trip to Britain was partly financed by crowdfunding on the Western Cape. He will earn minimum £15,000 for reaching the second round, where he meets Kim Huybrechts on Friday. 2021 World Youth Championship runner-up Nathan Rafferty beat Jermaine Wattimena 3 to 2 in his debut at Ally Pally.
