David Haye recalls world heavyweight title win which changed British boxing on 10th anniversary

David Haye's world heavyweight title win in Nuremberg on November 10th, 2009 changed the landscape of British boxing. It was the first heavyweight bout to be screened on Sky Sports Box Office since Lennox Lewis took on Mike Tyson seven years earlier. Since then, 19 heavyweight fights have been given pay-per-view status. Haya's other fights, except for his two comeback fights on the Sky Box office, have done well. He describes his victory as a "David vs Goliath" story. The story made for an easy sell to the casual fan. Hayo had made his name cleaning up the cruiserweight division.
