Saturday's Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes is a significant signpost for the end-of-season pecking order among the juveniles. Brigadier Gerard won the race in 2010. Dream Ahead won it in the same year. Oasis Dream won three top flight prizes at three. Johannesburg won six wins from six starts. The class of 2022 have a lot to live up to. They need to be as quick as the current generation. The current class is not as experienced. It needs to improve. There are no hiding places when the tempo increases. Some great names have used the races to cement their champion status in past.
