Declan Rice Next Club Odds: Arsenal the favourites to sign West Ham star I BettingOdds.com

Declan Rice is always seemingly in the papers when it comes to talking about his next club and, by the sounds of it, every big club in Europe is interested in the midfielder.

Whilst Rice may not be on the market this month, it’s looking increasingly likely that he could depart in the summer. Bookmaker Paddy Power have priced up his potential next destination - odds before 4th September - and we've looked through each club in the running...

Arsenal have made a statement this year and they’re looking like the most likely victors of the Premier League for the 22/23 season and you’d have to say it’s deserved. Mikel Arteta has transformed this Arsenal team into genuine title contenders and to wrap it all off with a Premier League trophy would be glorious to see.

If they are to carry on in this direction, they’re going to need to build their squad even further, and whilst they have Xhaka and Partey who are bossing that midfield, it never hurts to reinforce your strongest area on the pitch and adding Declan Rice into the mix would be a serious statement from the Gunners.

This window they failed to secure Mudryk after losing out on him to Chelsea and they won’t want to miss out on another target to their rivals. According to numerous reports, Arsenal have upped their interest in the West Ham midfielder and whilst they have Xhaka and Partey in that midfield, they can’t rely on those two to always be available, especially considering Xhaka’s disciplinary record. They have expressed interest in Ruben Neves and Douglas Luiz so it’s clear that Arteta knows he needs to bolster that midfield and Rice would be the perfect addition to that squad.

They come in as the bookmakers favourites to sign him by the 4th of September at 7/4 and if you fancy a shock January move, you can get 4/1 for him to join the league leaders.

It’s never a transfer saga without Manchester United being involved. The Red Devils have most likely expressed their interest in the midfielder in the past but they’ve never seemingly gone all out for him. If they were to miss out on Casemiro in the last window, maybe they would have chased him further but they landed their main target and what a signing that has been.

One thing that was made very apparent in Man Utd’s defeat to Arsenal is without Casemiro, they have no control in that midfield. It’s all well and good when it’s going your way but when it’s time for Casemiro to miss a game, the other players need to step up and they failed to do that at the Emirates. Whilst it’s hard to see a world where Man Utd secure his signature, what a duo they could potentially have in midfield if they have Rice and Casemiro and for Declan, there will be no one better to learn off than Man Utd’s main man.

United are rumored to be up for sale and some new owners could definitely make a statement with the signing of one of the most promising youngsters in the Premier League it would make for a quality midfield for Manchester United, but I worry that if they are to sign him, either Eriksen or Fernandes would have to spend more time on the bench which is probably not what Ten Hag is looking for.

Chelsea have always been keen on Declan Rice, they’re also letting everyone in the Premier League know they are not afraid of splashing the cash in order to get back where they want to be which was evident in their hijack of Mudryk to Arsenal.

It feels like Chelsea have been crying out for a defensive-minded midfielder for a while now with Kante becoming much more injury prone. This season they have opted for Zakaria on loan from Juventus but he hasn’t featured in many games so far, Kovacic has also stepped up to play the holding position on a few occasions.

Chelsea are crying out for a player like Declan Rice and I think a lot of us are expecting Chelsea to go all out in the summer for him. It just makes too much sense, he’s a player they are depserate for, he’s a boyhood Chelsea fan and they have the cash to splash.

I’m surprised they are even 4/1 to be honest, if it wasn’t for Arsenal increasing their interest in him I think they would be a much shorter price to secure his signature. Rice has said he wants to stay close to the town he grew up in which is just a few miles from Stamford Bridge, it sounds like he wants to stay in London and Chelsea will be monitoring his situation closely.

For those that are fancying a dull end to this saga, you can always back him to stay at West Ham at a fairly decent price. 7/2 is on offer from him to still be a West Ham player by the 4th of September and West Ham will of course be trying their hardest to keep him at the club.

Unfortunately for the Hammers, money talks and these days Rice is set to fetch a hefty fee and it could be in their best interest to let the midfielder go and reinvest the funds elsewhere in the club. West Ham are having a fairly torrid time in the Prem this season and something needs to change, if they are to sell Rice they can reinvest those funds on several other players in hopes of rebuilding their squad.

In regards to Rice staying at the club, he has said on many occasions he loves it at West Ham, it’s quite surprising he has stayed this long to be honest but I think that just shows you what type of man he is. It’ll be a shame for West Ham fans if he is to leave as he is loved so much at the club, but if a club like Chelsea comes knocking, he will most certainly be interested in a move to a much more successful club.
