DeFilippi gutted over losing appeal to drive his own horse

DeFilippi was given a three-day suspension instead of five days for hitting his horse with the whip. The tribunal also gave a shorter suspension to Rasmussen. The judge who ruled on the DeF Filipi case was the same person who also ruled in the Rasmussen case. Dale argued the case illustrated the need for flexible sentencing. He also argued it was unfair that people guilty of the the similar offence could have such dramatically different outcomes for the sake of one day. Defilippis was allowed to drive his own horse.
