Dila Gori vs Dunajska Streda
UEFA Conference League Qualification
Date: 20 July 2023, Thursday
Kick-off at 18:00 UK / 19:00 CET
Venue: Stadioni Tengiz Burjanadze (Gori).

Slovakian runners-up Dunajska Streda will defend a one-goal advantage on Thursday afternoon when they visit Stadioni Tengiz Burjanadze in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round against Dila Gori.

The first leg brought us three goals, each coming within a ten-minute span in the first half.

Dunajska Streda took advantage of a blitzkrieg just after the half-hour-mark but Mykola Kovtalyuk pulled one back for Dila just before the half-time break to set the final score seven days ago.

The tie is now wide open, just as the bookmakers’ odds suggest. Dila’s players should be in a better physical condition having already played 19 rounds of the new season in Georgian top flight.

Speaking of it, Dila are only fifth in the Umaglesi Liga standings with eight points between them and leaders Dinamo Batumi after 19 rounds of the competition.

Dunajska Streda, on the other side, showed great form in preseason friendlies, backing nine goals in the last two wins over Fehervar and Rapid Vienna.

However, we did not see much from this extraordinary attacking form in the team’s maiden competitive game of the season.

Dila’s defensive-minded style certainly affected the happenings on the pitch last week. It is worth noting that Dila played three consecutive games with fewer than three goals scored before falling 2-1 in the first leg of this Conference League tie last week.

Dila Gori vs Dunajska Streda Head-to-head

  • This will only be the second head to head encounter between Dila Gori and Dunajska Streda.
  • As mentioned above, the Slovakian outfit claimed a 2-1 victory in the first leg played seven days ago at MOL Arena.

Dila Gori vs Dunajska Streda Prediction

The second half of last week’s game was super tight and without pretty much any chances for either team. Considering the result from the first leg, we have reasons to expect another close match as neither outfit needs to take any unnecessary risks early on in the game.

This is why we will back Under 0.5 goals in the first half as the main bet at the odds of 2.75, while you can alternatively take the Under 2.5 goals FT pick at the 1.80 odds.
