Donn McClean on the Qipco 2000 Guineas

Nobody has trained more 2000 Guineas winners than Aidan O'Brien. He has won it nine times since, including three times in the last five years and four times over the past seven. O’Brien has fielded more than one runner in each of the 2000 guinea renewals in last 10 years. On four of those occasions, the most-fancied of his runners has finished behind at least one of O's stable companions. Magna Grecia won the race in 2019 with his stable companion Ten Sovereigns in fifth place. Point Lonsdale won his maiden at The Curragh in June and finished second to Native Trail in Group 1 National Stakes.
