When you look at Week 9 of the NFL season, there are multiple matchups that could eventually become matchups we see in January in the NFL playoffs. Some of the league’s best teams go head-to-head. We might just be midway through the season, but fans and players alike both love a good measuring stick game.

We’ve isolated three games that are worth a deeper look. Before betting on these NFL games or any other game in Week 9, make sure to check out MLive’s NFL betting guide. Here are the three games we’re focusing on this week:

  • Miami vs. Kansas City: The world needs to know if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love is strong enough to be worthy of a cross-ocean trip. On top of that, two of the league’s more dynamic offenses meet head-to-head. We know what the trio of Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and Kelce can do. Miami is the new kid in town as Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill look to hang yet another crooked number on the scoreboard. Miami is a short favorite in Germany if you’re looking to start your Sunday with a live underdog.
  • Dallas vs. Philadelphia: The idea of Dallas being a legitimate Super Bowl contender took a massive hit when they were embarrassed by the San Francisco 49ers a few weekends ago. Since then, Dallas has stockpiled some more wins. However, if they want to be taken seriously, they’ll need to do it against an elite team. A visit to the 7-1 Eagles will give them that opportunity on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia is laying a field goal at home.
  • Buffalo vs. Cincinnati: There will be no shortage of storylines for Sunday night’s meeting between the Bills and the Bengals. Both teams are viewed as contenders in the AFC, but both teams have had less than impressive stretches in the first half of the regular season. Of course, this is the first regular season game between the teams since the Damar Hamlin incident. These teams met in the playoffs last season, and the Bengals went into Buffalo and embarrassed the Bills. Cincinnati is laying less than a field goal at home in this one.
