EFL pundit issues Millwall v Bristol City score prediction ahead of Championship clash

Both Millwall and Bristol City will be heading into tonight’s Championship clash in very different moods following their Boxing Day results.

Millwall, for example, were comfortable winners away at Watford on Monday lunchtime, with goals from Andreas Voglsammer and Zian Fleming enough to earn the Lions all three points.

As a result, Millwall moved themselves back into the division’s top six ahead of their clash with Bristol City tonight.

Bristol City, meanwhile, were beaten at home by West Bromwich Albion.

That result leaves Nigel Pearson’s side with just one league win in their last five matches, and sitting 18th in the division, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Quiz: Have any of these 25 ex-Millwall players ever played for a Yorkshire based team?

It looks like there could be further misery upcoming for the Robins, too, if Sky Sports EFL pundit and columnist David Prutton’s score prediction ahead of tonight’s clash is correct.

Indeed, in his latest Sky Sports column, Prutton is predicting a scoreline of Millwall 2-1 Bristol City this evening.

Kick-off between the Lions and the Robins is scheduled for 7:45PM UK time tonight.

The Verdict

Millwall must be on a real high after that Watford performance.

Rowett’s side are back in the top six and playing an out of form Bristol City side presents them with an opportunity to go and put a further three points on the board.

Bristol City meanwhile are getting dangerously close to the drop zone at present and must surely start picking up points soon.

It looks set to be a tricky night for them to do so this evening, though.
