England 19 Wales 17 LIVE REACTION: George Ford spares red-carded Owen Farrell's blushes in Rugby World Cup warm-up clash

ENGLAND fans witnessed a bizarre performance as Owen Farrell was sent off but the Red Rose managed to snatch victory in the last minute.

Ellis Genge and Freddie Steward were shown yellow cards before Owen Farrell was initially shown the same - but minutes later it was updated to a RED.

Wales were awarded a penalty try and scored again with England down to 12 men, but the Red Rose scored against the run of play before Farrell's red after his shoulder made contact with Taine Basham's head.

Farrell could now miss the start of the Rugby World Cup if he is given a three-match ban.
