Eric Comrie sharp Buffalo Sabres sink Edmonton Oilers

Eric Comrie made 46 saves as Buffalo Sabres beat Edmonton Oilers 4-2 on Tuesday. It was Comri's first NHL game in Edmonton. Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, J.J. Peterka and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for the Sabres. Darnell Nurse and Darian Gourcet scored the goals for Edmonton, who have trailed by at least two goals in each of their three games this season. Connor McDavid doesn't want to panic as the team is 1-1-0. He expects the best from his team. The team has lost the first three of the season, but is not worried.

Dahlin joined Lindy Ruff as the second defenceman in Sabres franchise history to score in each of the first three games in a season. Comrie played his first game in his hometown of Edmonton. It was the game featuring four first overall draft picks: Dahlin, Owen Power, McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for Buffalo and Markus Niemelainen for Edmonton, who played with 11 forwards and seven defencemen. Sabre Hinostroza made his seasonal debut in place of Jack Quinn.
