European Giants collide in the UEFA Champions League: Best Bet for Sept. 19

Each day, one of our experts will offer up a best bet (or two or three) that mobile sportsbooks are offering. It might be a traditional spread bet, a player prop or one of the various odds boosts that books offer.

Here is our best bet for Tuesday, Sept. 19:

TOP PLAY

The play: UCL, PSG-Dortmund UNDER 3.5 total goals

The odds/bet: -120 ($36 to win $30)

The book: Caesars Sportsbook

Time/TV: 3 p.m. (Paramount+)

Our take: The UEFA Champions League picks back up this afternoon with the marquee match taking place at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Borussia Dortmund comes into Paris Saint-Germain to kickoff play in what many believe to be the so-called 'Group of Death,' Group F. The draw matched these two historic clubs with AC Milan and Newcastle United.

This contest will draw eyes solely because it's a game between two European giants. However, both clubs are a shell of what they were just last season. PSG has seen the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. depart in the summer; whereas Dortmund offloaded starboy Jude Bellingham.

There is still plenty of talent in both teams, but they're still trying to find their footing early in the season. A recent international break won't have helped matters any with players going their separate ways for a short period.

These two sides will also be cautious to not lose crucial points on matchday one in the 2023/24 Champions League campaign. Therefore, we'll ride with the under 3.5 goals total on this one at -120.

Monday's best bet: Saints -3 at Panthers (PUSH)

If a line or odds are minus, it considers the juice one must lay to place the bet. Ex: Team A is -160 on the money line, one would have to bet $160 to win $100 (or $16 to win $10). OR Team B is a 5-point favorite at -110, one would have to bet $110 to win $100 (or $11 to win $10.)

Conversely, on positive lines, if Team C is +140 on the money line, $100 would bring in $140 (or $10 to win $14).
