Everton vs Manchester City odds: Sergio Aguero backed to score first at Goodison Park

City’s setback at Norwich feels a long time ago now. Since then they’ve won three out of three, scoring 14 and conceding none.

It is the perfect to respond to a shock defeat with wins in the league, EFL Cup and Champions League.

Next up it is a trip to Goodison Park as Everton host the champions.

The Pools spoke to Tyrone Marshall :

Recommended bets:

  • Sergio Aguero to score first - 14/5
  • Under 3.5 cards - 4/5

Win, lose or draw?

Everton haven’t been in great form themselves, conceding at least twice in four successive Premier League games, against Aston Villa, Wolves, Bournemouth and Sheffield United, do facing the Blues will be some test for them.

On that evidence it’s hard to see anything but another City win at 3/10 . A convincing win away, say 3-0 (priced at 7/1 ), is a strong possibility too.

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

City have a few players in exceptional form in front of goal, but none more so than Sergio Aguero ( 14/5 ), who has scored in every Premier League game this season and has eight in six in total.

It might be obvious but Aguero to net first is the best option.

Who's on the naughty step? (first card)

City’s domination of the ball often leads to the opposition picking up bookings. Fabian Delph knows all about that.

The former City midfielder often finds himself in the referee’s book and his desire to make a point against the club he left this summer could land him in hot water.

Michael Oliver has shown 16 cards in five Premier League games so expect a similar under 3.5 card-match at 4/5 .

Who's on pens?

Aguero ( 3/1 to score two or more goals ) scores from the spot last week and will maintain penalty duties.

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

City are relying on a makeshift defence at the moment but they’ve kept three successive clean sheets. Everton’s attack isn’t clicking at the moment and another shutout could be on the cards - especially at evens .
