Ex-All Blacks coach Steve Hansen calls for 'leadership from World Rugby' ahead of World Cup

Steve Hansen is calling for World Rugby to address the problems that dog the sport. The World Cup starts with the opening game between the All Blacks and France in Paris on September 8th. World rugby updated its "decision-making framework for high tackles" four months before the World cup in Japan. The guideline was intended to improve consistency in application of sanctions. It also supports protection of the head of both players. Hansen believes the governing body should be proactive and engage with key stakeholders. He believes common sense things need to be done. and they need the current coaches and players to do it.
