Expansion Vegas Golden Knights are defying the odds

The Vegas Golden Knights are on a winning streak and are playing with arrogance. They are the first NHL expansion team to make the postseason since the league doubled from six to 12 teams in 1967. They play with an aggressive forecheck, overwhelm with swift counterattacks and suffocate through prolonged offensive zone possessions. The team owner, Bill Foley, wants them to reach the playoffs in three seasons and capture Lord Stanley in six. He also wants to finish the inaugural season above .500. Vegas leads the Western Conference and has the best home record.

The Vegas Golden Knights are the first team in the NHL. They are playing in their first season. The team is very young and the players are having fun.
