FA Cup round-up: Sunderland force Fulham replay as Southampton and Bristol City join Leeds and Leicester in fifth round

SUNDERLAND held Fulham to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage to force a FA Cup fourth replay against the Premier League side.

Jack Clarke had given the Championship side the lead in the 6th minute of the match, shocking the top-flight club.

However, Fulham were able to battle back and save their blushes as midfielder Tom Cairney fired in the equaliser just after the hour mark.

But the West London side were unable to find a winner and will have to travel to the Stadium of Light to have another attempt at booking their spot in the fifth round.

Southampton however did manage to advance to the next round after beating Blackpool.

Romain Perraud scored a brace for the hosts to put them in control of the tie.

However Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino did make it a nervous ending for the Saints with a 67th-minute goal.

But Nathan Jones' side were able to hang on and clinch victory.

Bristol City will be joining them in the next round after their comprehensive 3-0 win over West Brom.

Sam Bell scored either side of Alex Scott's goal in a solid performance.

Birmingham City kept their hopes alive after forcing a replay against Blackburn Rovers.

Goals from Bradley Dack and Joe Rankin-Costello looked set to put the home side through after Red Khadra's early goal for the Blues, but Jordan James netted an injury-time equaliser.

Ipswich Town and Burnley are also set for a replay following their goalless draw at Portman Road.

Luton Town and Grimsby also could not be separated after the game finished 2-2 at Kenilworth Road.

The final three o'clock kick-off also ended in a draw as Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood Town could not be separated after 90 minutes.

Fleetwood did have the lead through Promise Omochere, until it was canceled out by an own goal from Joshua Earl in in 71st minute.

In the lunchtime kick-offs there was Premier League success for both Leeds and Leicester CIty.

Jack Harrison's stunner got Jesse March's side up and running in the first half.

Junior Firpo's first Leeds goal, thank to a glorious assist from Patrick Bamford paved the way for the Premier League side to progress.

Luis Sinisterra's strike two minutes all-but confirmed there would be now giant-killing.

However, the hosts did have something to smile about.

Leslie Adekoya scored a late consolation goal to salvage some pride.

The Accrington ace became the youngest scorer in this season's FA Cup aged just 18 years and 285 days in the process.

In the day's other 12.30pm kick off, Leicester left it late to secure their passage to the next round.

The Foxes struggled against their lower league opposition and needed Kelechi Iheanacho's long-range goal to secure their passage.

The Nigerian's deflected effort came after Youri Tielemans missed a penalty after striking the inside of the post.

The goal was Iheanacho's 17th FA Cup goal - the most of any player in the competition since his 2016 debut.
