Toledo Rockets -5.5 at FanDuel

This may not be the best game regarding team caliber for tonight’s card, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining game.

Toledo showcases the 13th-ranked offense in terms of efficiency, according to KenPom. And they do so at a frenetic pace; Toledo is 23rd (out of 363 teams) in the nation in terms of adjusted tempo, which measures the number of offensive possessions per 40 minutes.

Toledo boasts an impressive 12-6 record with wins over UAB, Richmond, and Vermont. They’ve fallen twice in-conference, but those losses came against the 1st and 2nd place teams in the MAC in Kent State and Ball State.

Buffalo is right on the heels of Toledo, sporting the same record in the MAC. The Rockets will lean on their dynamic guard play, featuring RayJ Dennis and Dante Maddox Jr., who are complemented by some intriguing wing players in JT Shumate and Setric Millner Jr. Each player is averaging double figures for the Rockets.

Buffalo Bulls +5.5 with FanDuel Sportsbook Ohio

On the other side, the Bulls possess a .500 record, but to their credit, have picked up some impressive wins along the way. Buffalo defeated a really tough Colgate team in their season opener and also added wins over a pair of A-10 teams in George Mason and St. Bonaventure.

Similar to Toledo, Buffalo wants to play fast. According to KenPom, the Bulls come into this matchup ranked 5th in all of Division I in adjusted tempo. In Buffalo’s 18 games, they scored 80+ in eight games, an impressive feat.

As one would expect, considering the pace of play that Buffalo likes to play at, they’ll want to utilize their depth. Buffalo has eight players that average at least 16 minutes per game, while seven of their players are averaging at least six points per game.

When Buffalo wins, it is a collective effort. Curtis Jones and Zid Powell will lead the way in the backcourt, each averaging 14+ points per game.
