FanDuel Partners with NBA to Offer League Pass Promotion

FanDuel has partnered with the NBA to offer fans and bettors 3 free months of NBA League Pass in an exclusive sign-up promotion.

America’s largest legal sports betting operator is gearing up for a new NBA season.

FanDuel — the No. 1 sportsbook in the U.S. in terms of market share at 47% — has secured a partnership with the NBA to offer customers three free months of NBA League Pass. The offer and League Pass service, which provides access to live and on-demand NBA games for an entire season, will be available to users who wager at least $5 on the NBA before Dec. 11.

New customers who place a $5 NBA wager will receive League Pass and $200 in bonus bets.

“FanDuel is committed to offering the top sportsbook product on the market and elevating the entertainment experience for fans this NBA season,” said FanDuel COO Mike Raffensperger. “This year, we’re leveraging the power of our NBA partnership and our industry-leading platform to create an ecosystem where fans can bet on pivotal moments in a game in real-time and watch to see the results, elevating their sports betting and entertainment experience.”

FanDuel is bolstering its NBA offerings this season with the addition of “The Pulse,” — a new curated experience that provides betting markets for key moments and storylines in all sports. The sportsbook will also be offering live same-game parlays of NBA contests for the first time.

Protecting users

Last month, FanDuel took steps to curtail problem gambling by adding soccer legend Carli Lloyd and PGA Tour player Tom Kim as responsible gaming ambassadors. In their roles, Lloyd and Kim will help FanDuel deliver new initiatives to educate fans on responsible gambling. The initiatives include a new advertising campaign that will be featured across FanDuel’s media platforms.

FanDuel, which is owned by Flutter Entertainment, has also tapped four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski and FanDuel TV host Kay Adams as the sportsbook’s ambassadors.

Strong start

FanDuel owner Flutter Entertainment reported strong results in the first half of FY2023.

The company, which also owns online betting sites TVG and Betfair, generated $5.8 billion in group revenue in H1 2023 — a 42% increase year-over-year. FanDuel reached profitability in H1 2023 behind $100 million in revenue. The sportsbook had an adjusted EBITDA of $63 million during the period. Flutter expects full-year revenue for FanDuel to range between $4.5 billion and $4.9 billion in FY2023. Its adjusted EBITDA could reach as high as $240 million in 2023.
