It’s hard to say any Week 4 game is a must-win game, but this is an important early season game for the New York Giants. They have not looked good by any metric. They were blown out 40-0 in Week 1 by Dallas and 30-12 in Week 3 by San Francisco. In Week 2, they erased a three-score second-half deficit to escape Arizona with a win. A victory? Sure. Confidence inspiring? Not exactly. Now entering their second straight game without Saquon Barkley, it’s a big spot for New York.

New York made the playoffs last season to the surprise of many. A 1-3 start would make it nearly impossible to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys atop the NFC East. They’ll also fall behind rather quickly in the NFC Wild Card race, especially since their opponent on Monday night is probably a team that will be in that mix.

Seattle dropped their opening game of the season to the Los Angeles Rams, but the Seahawks rebounded. They’ve scored 74 points over their last two games, both victories over Carolina and Detroit. The offense is humming, and if they’re playing well on Monday night, it’ll be hard for the Giants to keep pace without Barkley.
