Pelicans vs. Nuggets preview

The second game of the Tuesday TNT doubleheader takes us to the base of the Rocky Mountains, where the Denver Nuggets host the New Orleans Pelicans.

Denver comes into this game with the best record in the Western Conference at 34-16 and have won seven of their past 10 games. Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic is having another incredible season, averaging 25.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 9.9 assists per game, all of which lead the team. He also leads Denver with 1.4 steals per game for good measure.

While Jokic leads the way for Denver, other players like Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon have each played well and stayed healthy this year. Without their contributions, the Nuggets probably would not have the best record in the West.

New Orleans will be a tough opponent for them, though. The Pelicans come into tonight’s matchup in the thick of the play-in race at 26-25.
