Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv played a heated Premier League derby on Monday. The match was stopped after 16 seconds when fans started throwing flares on the pitch. It was restarted after 15 minutes but fans again disrupted the game. There was 25 minutes of stoppage time before half-time. Maccabi won the match 3-0.
Dorde Jovanovic scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Maccabi a 1-0 victory over Tel Aviv. MacCabi moved to the top of the Israeli table and maintained their unbeaten eight-year derby record.
