South Korean fans have been known to bestow superstar status on their footballers. Cho and Cristiano Ronaldo had a spat on Saturday. Ronaldo was told to leave the field immediately. The Athletic reports that the incident happened because of Cho's swearing. It is a global trend, but it has long existed in Korea.
