Ghana won the Africa Cup of Nations title four times. They qualified for the World Cup for 10th time in a row in Germany in 2006. Ghana reached the quarter-finals in 2010 and 2014. Their last appearance in Brazil was beset by squabbles over money and they went home early.

Andre Ayew has played for Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United and Al Sadd. He won two French League Cups and three Super Cups with Marseilles. Ayw played 89 Premier League games and 87 Championship matches for Swansea.

Inaki Williams has not won an international cap for Ghana. He has played almost 350 competitive games for Athletic Bilbao in Spain, winning the Spanish Super Cup in 2016 and 2021. Williams broke the record for most consecutive La Liga appearances in October 2021, having played more than 230 matches in a row.
