FIFA World Cup preview: Every match up, kick-off time and prediction as the quarter finals begin

Eight games have been played and wow, every one was brilliant. Croatia and Morocco took out Brazil and Portugal, Argentina beat Netherlands and England lost to France.

Argentina and Croatia are playing each other in the World Cup quarter finals. Lionel Messi is looking to complete his career with the trophy he covets most. Croatia will try to nullify the game as they always do and wait for their moment. Argentina won the first World cup meeting 1-0 back in 1998. Messi and Luka Modric have played each others' teams many times in La Liga. They played against eachother in March 2006.

Argentina will play Brazil in the quarter finals.

France and Morocco are playing each other in the World Cup quarter finals. France is home to several million people of Moroccan descent. Morocco have conceded just once at the tournament so far. They are solid and have a solid defence. Their forwards are Hakim Ziyech and Soufaine Boufal. The game starts at 6 am AEDT. France are masters of the counterattack. There is a highly partisan crowd in their favour. It is possible that Morocco could win the game.

France will play in extra time to reach the World Cup quarter finals.
