14th and 12th will meet in Florence this Serie A weekend as Fiorentina welcomes Empoli to the Artemio Franchio Stadium with the two clubs separated by only three points in the league ahead of the game.

Before the match, it’s Fiorentina who are the side lacking behind in Serie A. They are ahead on goals difference thanks to 23 goals scored compared to Empoli’s 21, but they are still three points behind.

However, the Florence side got arguably their best result of the season in midweek, as Luka Jovic and Arthur Cabral scored a brace each in their Europa Conference League win over Braga. In fact, Fiorentina are now one of the favourites to go all the way.

As for Empoli, they have not won since stunning Inter Milan in late January. The club have drawn with Torino soon after, while losing to Roma and drawing with Spezia 2-2 last weekend - Fabio Parisi is also out of this one after getting sent off in that game.

Fiorentina lost to Juventus 1-0 last time out, and it now means they have not won in Serie A since January 7.
