Florida Football Freshman Profile: Treyaun Webb can do it all
As the season fast approaches for Florida football, we are continuing our series of the freshmen on campus and what the odds are they appear this season with the Gators. If you follow recruiting, these will be household names. But if not, these can be a good refresher to catch you up to speed.

Today we look at one of last summer’s more active faces of the 2023 recruiting class, running back Treyaun Webb.
Florida Football: Recruit like crazy
Webb was a four-star prospect by three of the four recruiting services. We will let you take a wild guess which of the four rated him as a three-star.
Listed at 5’11” and 213 pounds, Webb didn’t subscribe to just one running style during his time at Trinity Christian in Jacksonville. He could bounce the ball outside as needed, though we wouldn’t necessarily call him a speed back.
He also had no issue running up the middle and bowling you over if you got in his way.
Webb had been linked to Penn State before opting to commit to Florida last summer. He was a high school teammate with former Florida football commit Marcus Stokes, who had his offer rescinded following a video his posted.
Odds of redshirting: High
This one hurts to say because Webb has the build of Montrell Johnson and has a lot of similarities in his game. Webb was also extremely active last summer in trying to recruit guys to Gainesville and appears to be all in on being a Gator.
He also looked solid during the Spring Game for the Gators.
The reality for Webb is the depth chart, and the guys ahead of him are more established.
Barring injury, Johnson and Trevor Etienne are going to get the bulk of the carries. Last year Napier started with a three-running back rotation, but he was one of the only coaches nationally to do so.
And even if Napier opts for three backs, Cam Carroll transferred in from Tulane and would be in the mix for that spot.
Webb could pop up on special teams, but we suspect his time to shine might be next season if Johnson has a great year and opts for the NFL Draft.
