Football finals preview and prediction: Muir hoping to add to its storied tradition

Muir will play Salesian for the Division 10 championship on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Rose Bowl. Muir finished third in the Pacific League and was dropped to Division10. It has had an up and down season, but it has stormed through the playoffs, beating Norwalk 21-0 in quarterfinals and then pounding Baldwin Park 28-7 in semifinals. Salesians finished second in Camino Real league behind Cantwell Sacred Heart. It is the team's first finals appearance since 2013. Some of the current players from the previous team were on the squad that lost to Marina in 2019.
