I know we’ll all wish away the next week or so and await the return of entertaining football rather than friendlies or a qualifier against a team ranked below your local pub side, however, there are plenty of games for us to get stuck into.

First up is England’s friendly against Australia at Wembley on Friday night – and Gareth Southgate’s men should have far too much for their rivals.

The Three Lions drew their last Euro 2024 qualifier 1-1 against Ukraine, however, they bounced back with an impressive 3-1 win against an in-form Scotland side at Hampden Park.

Whether it’s a friendly or a competitive game we’re not overthinking this. England are far better than Australia and whatever team Southgate picks should be enough to see England cover the -1 Handicap.

Harry Kane to Score Anytime

We’ve mentioned we’re not overthinking the result and Harry Kane to Score Anytime falls in the same category.

The Bayern Munich hitman has netted 59 times in his 96 England appearances and he’ll be desperate to add to that tally against this 27th-ranked Australia side.

Kane has already scored nine Bayern goals and he’s averaging around three shots per game for club and country this season.

Netherlands v France

Kylian Mbappe to Score or Assist

Netherlands v France is the feature Euro 2024 qualifier on Friday night as first in Group B host second.

France are six points clear of the Netherlands and Didier Deschamps’ side have won all five of their outings while scoring 11 without conceding.

PSG superstar Mbappe has already scored eight times in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this campaign and he’s good value to add to his 40 France goals.

Mbappe will likely be running at attacking right wing-back Denzel Dumfries who could leave space for the PSG forward to exploit.

Instead of just backing him to score, we’re going to go with Mbappe to Score or Assist to be safe.

Both Teams to Score

France will score on Friday night and we expect Netherlands to do the same.

The Netherlands have scored two or more in their last five games in all competitions and they’ll fancy their chances of netting in front of their home crowd at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Both Teams to Score has landed in three of the Netherlands’ last four matches so the stats are in our favour.

Portugal v Slovakia

Finally, we’re at Porto’s ground for Portugal v Slovakia, which sees first host second in Group J.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. have been sensational in qualifying. They’ve won all six of their games while scoring 24 times without conceding, however, those numbers are slightly inflated considering 15 of those goals came in their two games against Luxembourg.

Portugal should have far too much quality for Slovakia so we like them on the -1 Handicap. If Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes can’t get going, Roberto Martinez can bring on the likes of Joao Felix, Goncalo Ramos and Pedro Neto.

Under 3.5 Goals

While we like Portugal on the Handicap, we’re not expecting a 9-0 demolition like against Luxembourg last time out.

The scoreline was 1-0 the last time these two sides met so backing Under 3.5 Goals makes sense.

The selection has landed in Portugal’s last three games that weren’t against Luxembourg and Slovakia’s Euro 2024 qualifiers have averaged 1.7 goals per outing.
