Polish world no.1 Iga Swiatek is the hot favourite to win the French Open women's singles title. Simona Halep is also a contender.

Tunisian Ons Jabeur is the second-most in-form woman on clay this year. She was beaten by Swiatek in Rome recently.

Iga Swiatek has won five of the six tournaments she has played in this season, including four WTA 1000 titles. She has also won 28 straight matches. Swiatesk's last defeat came against Jelena Ostapenko in Dubai on February 16.

Swiatek is favourite to win her second French Open title at the start of June 2022.
