Game 22: Boston Bruins @ Canucks Lines, Betting, Preview

The Boston Bruins begin a three-game road trip in Northwest Canada. They play the Vancouver Canucks, Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night in Edmonton, and then travel to Calgary for a tilt with Milan Lucic and Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

Jeremy Swayman will start for the third straight game. He had a career-best 42-save performance for his fourth career shutout in a 2-0 win over the Nashville Predators last Thursday and stopped 22 of 25 shots in the 3-2 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Swaysman is now 7-4-1 with a .918 save percentage and 2.26 GAA.

Bruins winger Brad Marchand is back in the lineup tonight. The Canucks are going to try to get the best of him. Marchad is already public enemy No. 1 in Vancouver since the 2011 Stanley Cup win. Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy returns to the line-up after missing the Saturday's game. Tomas Nosek was left behind for the road trip due to an illness. Charlie Coyle, Linus Ullmark, and Matt Grzelcyk were out of practice earlier this week. Defenseman Jakub Zboril is still out. Anton Blidh is on the trip.

The Vancouver Canucks have gone through a lot of changes since they last met the Boston Bruins on Nov. 28. Bruce Boudreau was appointed as head coach and Scott walker as an assistant. Jim Benning was fired as the general manager and replaced by an interim management committee headed up by Canucks legend Stan Smyl. J.T. Miller leads the team in goals with nine and points with 25. Quinn Hughes leads them in assists with 18.

Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, Tayor Hall, Charlie Coyle, Craig Smith, Erik Haula, Trent Frederic, Nick Foligno, Jake DeBrusk, Curtis Lazar and Oskar Steen are the Boston Bruins' line-ups for the game.

Tanner Pearson, Bo Horvat, Nils Höglander, Vasily Podkolzin, Elias Pettersson, Conor Garland, Jason Dickinson, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser are the Canucks forwards. Tyler Motte, Alex Chiasson and Juho Lammikko are their defensemen.
