Game 6 Golden Knights vs Oilers Odds, Start Time & Prediction (May 14)

The Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers have gone back and forth like a heavyweight fight in their second-round series, with the Knights pulling ahead three games to two. On Friday, they took Game 5 by a count of 4-3 on the strength of a strong performance by Jack Eichel, who had three points.

Sunday evening, both Darnell Nurse and Alex Pietrangelo will be suiting up, after both were suspended for their actions at the end of Game 4. Nurse got an instigator penalty following a fight late in that affair, and Pietrangelo had a nasty slash on Leon Draisaitl which resulted in him staying in the press box.

Edmonton began this series as a -150 favorite to make the Western Conference Finals for the second straight season. Now that Vegas is a win away, the Knights are -210 to make the Western Conference Finals, with the Oilers +170 underdogs. Read on for Golden Knights vs Oilers analysis.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Analysis

As the Golden Knights’ goal-scoring goes, so does the team. With each team trading victories, Vegas has scored 15 goals in their three victories compared to just two markers in their losses. In Game 5 on Friday night, they scored three goals in an 89-second span in the middle stanza to pull ahead 4-2, and hung on for a one-goal win.

Jack Eichel had one goal and two assists, while Jonathan Marchessault had three helpers en route to the victory.

Vegas was the third-best road team in the regular season, and they’ve won three of four away from home in the postseason.

The Oilers are 1-4 in their last five home games versus a team with a road winning % of greater than .600.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Analysis

The Edmonton Oilers have had a dominant power play all season, and that remained true to form in Game 5, as they scored all three of their goals with the man advantage. The team has struggled to score 5-on-5, however, which might be their downfall should they wind up losing to the Knights.
