GAME PREVIEW: Auburn vs Texas A&M

Cadillac got the head coaching job. Auburn didn't win last week, but they showed that they care about their team. Texas A&M is struggling. They play Alabama in Tuscaloosa tonight.   They need to win to reach a bowl game. If they don't, they'll annoy everyone they play.

Texas A&M has had three quarterbacks this season. Devon Achane is a star tailback, but his yards per touch average has shrunk. Auburn has a similar problem with offensive line. Evan Stewart is going to be an All-American under Lane Kiffin next year. He has 46 catches this year and is expected to make it to the next season as well.

Auburn is going to play a game with a heavy emphasis on running the ball. Robby Ashford is playing at quarterback. Texas A&M's defense is not good at stopping the run. The game will be played at home. The Tigers need to lean on the Aggies and use the crowd in the fourth quarter to win.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series 7-5. Most of the games have been played since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012. A-M was on a two-game winning streak before Auburn won three straight from 2017-2019.

Auburn lost 20-3 to Texas A&M last season. Bo Nix threw one interception and had an unforced fumble. The game was played in the middle of the fourth quarter.

Auburn lost at Mississippi State last week, but they came back from a 24-3 hole to win. Texas A&M lost to Florida last time, and they were beaten 41-24.

Devon Achane scored three times against Florida. Texas A&M doesn't have many offensive players.

Auburn and Texas A&M are playing in front-line scrimmage tonight. The game will be played in a high-energy atmosphere. A &M gave up 291 yards on 50 carries to Florida, 390 yards to Ole Miss, and 286 yards against Alabama. Auburn ran for 256 yards last week and 300 yards in the last game against OleMiss. A and M are going to play with house money tonight and hope to parlay that into a big play.

A&M is supposed to be a team that runs the ball well, but they have given up a lot of yards to Florida, Ole Miss and Alabama recently. They need to focus on the run game tonight. Derick Hall and Colby Wooden need not to worry about being hit by Connor Weigman. The atmosphere tonight will be the most unhinged atmosphere the Aggies have seen this year. A&m and Auburn will play in front of a crowd that is going to explode.
