GDB 22.0: Hamblin Homecoming (7:30pm MT, SN1)

James Hamblin was 18 when his mother Gina died of cancer. James and his sister Paulina grew closer after Gina's passing. Ham Blin played with Tyler Benson and Stuart Skinner in Edmonton. He was drafted twice but never picked up by a team. As a 20-year-old he scored 92 points and was signed to an AHL contract with the Bakersfield Condors. Yesterday he was called up to the Edmonton Oilers. He signed a two-years, two way contract for the start of the 2022/2023 season. His family and friends have always supported him. Today he played in a game with Skinner and Benson.

Draisaitl, Hyman, Draisai, Holloway, Malone and Hamblin are the probable lines for GDB 22.0: Ham Blin Homecoming (7:30 pm MT, SN1). Woodcroft might start the game with Puljujarvi on the top line. Warren Foegele is day-to-day, Ryan McLeod is out for at least a week and Kailer Yamamoto is getting closer.

Sasha Barkov is out with an illness and didn't travel with the Panthers. Jay Woodcroft will start McDavid and Draisaitl together. Sergei Bobrovsky is struggling in goal for the Panther's. Spencer Knight will play in his place. Game starts at 7:30 pm MT.

Edmonton wins the season series against Hamblin Homecoming.
