Going over 10 bold islanders predictions for 2021-22 season
The New York Islanders 2021-22 season is over. It's time to see how far off my bold predictions were back in September and then a rejigged bold prediction piece from February.
The Islanders finished the season fifth in the Metro and 16 points out of a playoff position. Oliver Wahlstrom didn't live up to his potential. Josh Bailey was traded. Robin Salo played double the number of games as predicted. The Islanders won the Metropolitan and the Cup. They had the seventh-best odds of winning the Stanley Cup in September. The team won it. It was a different scenario this year. I would have gone with someone different. If I knew COVID would be such a problem for the Isles, I probably would've gone for someone else. iReport.com:
