Golden Knights vs. Jets prediction and odds for NHL playoffs Game 4

The Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets played a marathon of a game on Saturday, going into double overtime before the Knights captured the win.

Now, Vegas holds the 2-1 series lead ahead of tonight’s game in Winnipeg with the chance to take a commanding lead back home for Game 5 later this week.

Let’s dive into the odds for the game and then I’ll you give you my best bet.

Golden Knights vs. Jets odds, puck line, and total

Golden Knights vs. Jets prediction and pick

Instead of betting on a side in this game, I think the best bet to place is on the total.

These two teams have something in common so far in the series. Neither of them have been able to create many quality offensive opportunities, despite them being able to score plenty of goals.

When it comes to expected goals, the two teams are only averaging 2.9 and 2.88 per 60 minutes. Also, they are the only two teams so far this postseason that are averaging fewer than 10 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes of play.

The reason for the high-scoring games has been less than stellar goaltending from both sides, but I expect positive regression from each of them as the series progresses.

That’s especially the case Connor Hellebuyck, who has a .918 save percentage in the playoffs throughout his career, but only an .894 save percentage through his first three starts in this series.

If he can have a strong bounce back performance tonight, that’s going to go a long way in helping us cash the UNDER.
