Golden Knights vs Predators Picks, Predictions, and Odds Tonight

Vegas is coming off some draining travel, but the Predators aren't exactly fresh themselves, or in good form at the moment. See why our NHL picks are backing the road side to keep Nashville down tonight.

The Vegas Golden Knights and the Nashville Predators hook up at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday evening in the Music City.

The Golden Knights picked up a 4-3 win in a shootout on the road against the Minnesota Wild on Monday night, strengthening their lead in the Pacific Division.

The Predators were dusted 5-1 on the road against the Dallas Stars on Monday, a costly blow as the team needs all the wins they can get for a wild-card spot in the West.

This is the third and final meeting of the regular season, and Vegas has picked up victories in each of the first two battles.

Will the Golden Knights complete the regular-season sweep, while building their lead in the Pacific, or will the Predators get a much-needed two points? We’ll discuss in our NHL betting picks for Golden Knights vs. Predators on Tuesday, April 4.

Golden Knights vs Predators best odds

Golden Knights vs Predators picks and predictions

The Golden Knights ended up sweeping the home-and-home set with the Minnesota Wild, building a three-point lead over the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division with five regular-season games remaining.

Vegas ended up touching down at 1:30 a.m. CT, so it was a late night getting into the team hotel, and the legs could be a little tired Tuesday.

Nashville also had a late night in the friendly skies, but the good news is that the Predators get to sleep in their own beds at least. Still, it was a late night, and the Preds could also be a little on the tired side.

The Golden Knights have ended up picking up at least one point in seven of the past eight games, while going 10-2-1 across the past 13 outings.

The Predators haven’t been helping their cause lately, going just 4-6-1 across the past 11 games, securing just nine of a possible 22 points. If they ended up failing to qualify for the postseason, they can look back on these late-season struggles as a chief reason they’re on the couch for the playoffs.

The Golden Knights have dominated this series lately, with Vegas going 6-1 in the past seven meetings, while cashing in four straight trips to the Music City. The road team is 6-2 in the previous eight outings in the series, too. Look for VGK to roll on Tuesday night.

Golden Knights vs Predators moneyline analysis

The Predators didn’t even come close to covering on the puck line as underdogs in Dallas, losing 5-1. Nashville has failed to cover the past two as an underdog on the puck line, while failing to cover three of the past five as a ‘dog.

The Preds really fared well on the quick turnaround, cashing in just five of the past 16 games when playing on no rest.

For Vegas, it’s also in the same boat when playing on no rest, managing to win just once in the past five games when playing the second end of a back-to-back set.

While things look dismal for Vegas, it’s 8-1 in the past nine games on the road, while cashing in six of the past seven games against teams with a winning overall record. VGK has picked up wins in 12 of the past 17 games against Central Division teams, too.

On the puck line, Vegas has managed to cover just three of the past 11 games on the puck line as a favorite, which is why I like the Golden Knights straight up, but not on the puck line, which is a little more risk.

Golden Knights vs Predators Over/Under analysis

Again, after a late night of travel from the Twin Cities to the Music City, we’ll likely see some tired legs and low scores.

The Under is 4-1-1 in the past six games for the Golden Knights when playing on no rest, while going 7-3-1 in the past 11 games against Central Division foes. VGK is also playing for the fourth time in six days, and the Under has cashed at a 3-1-1 clip in the past five in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation.

As far as the Predators are concerned, the Under is 3-1-1 in the past five games overall, while going 6-2 in the past eight games at home. The Under is 5-1 in the past six games against teams with a winning percentage over .600, too.

With both teams playing a back-to-back situation, expect some sluggish hockey in Smashville, with the total going Under.
