Goodwood each-way racing tip: Holguin to upset market leaders in Lennox Stakes

Tipstrr’s each-way specialists have been studying one of Goodwood’s biggest races to identify a horse that might just be flying under the bookmakers’ radar.

On paper it's hard to see past the odds-on favourite, Kinross, who has been a prolific winner since landing his debut outing in October 2019, and is sure to go well again under Frankie Dettori.

He won four on the spin last season, culmination in the British Champions Sprint Stakes, and he was far from disgraced when finishing third behind Shaquille in the July Cup at Newmarket (when William Buick replaced the suspended Dettori).

The withdrawal of three quality horses might have reduced the threat to the favourite, but with three each-way places still available in certain quarters, there might still be some sneaky outsider value to be extracted elsewhere.

The buzz among Tipstrr's each-way specialists is that Andrew Balding's Holguin is poised to punch above his weight to at least give the two short-priced market leaders something to think about, while Oisin Murphy's booking won't harm his prospects.

Runner-up to Olivia Maralda in the Surrey Stakes at the Epsom Derby meeting, he was just three lengths off the winner when sixth in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He confirmed that form when winning in heavy going at Chester 17 days ago, a performance that should hold him in good stead for Goodwood's conditions that could prove more testing than is usual for this August festival.
